Are you passionate about teaching at a European School?

Then come join our team at the European School Copenhagen (ESCPH).

We are hiring two teachers for our French section; one class teacher for our coming nursery class (ages 5-6) and one class teacher for primary 4 (ages 9-10). We can offer one permanent position and one temporary position (from August 10th 2026 to June 30th 2027).

We are looking for teachers who

  • have teaching qualification
  • are fluent French speakers or have mother tongue proficiency
  • can speak English at a professional level as this is our common collaboration language
  • have experience in teaching in relevant subjects on the year level and the ability to differentiate, supporting each child to fulfil their potential
  • will show outstanding commitment and ability to engage students and assist in developing their social, creative and personal skills 

The ideal candidates will have

  • experience in intercultural education and skills to assist pupils in navigating an international, culturally diverse environment 
  • experience in supporting student wellbeing and creating an inclusive learning environment
  • strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively across disciplines, including with pedagogical experts and municipal support functions
  • a passion for strengthening the French community in collaboration with the section and the French community in Copenhagen

About the school
European School Copenhagen (ESCPH) is a public, international school under the Municipality of Copenhagen and the only of its kind in Denmark. The school has three language sections: English, French, and Danish, spanning from Nursery, Primary 1-5 and Secondary 1-7 with a total of around 1000 students. ESCPH is an accredited school within the established European School system and as such offers an European education combining the rigorous educational requirements for European Schools with Danish school culture and working guidelines.
