French Primary Section looking for PE/Swimming Teacher/Pedagogue – preferable combined with pedagogical support lessons in P4 and P5

Available position
One permanent, part time position as Primary PE/Swimming teacher – or a pedagogue with similar competences – mainly in the French section of the European School Copenhagen.
Requirements
- Fluent in English, which is the working language at the school (oral and written).
- Preferable fluent in French.
- Proven experience in teaching the relevant age group – age 6-11.
- Outstanding commitment and ability to engage students and assist in developing their social, creative and academic skills.
The ideal candidate will have
- Experience in international or intercultural education.
- Experience in teaching PE and swimming.
- Interest in collaborating with PE colleagues across language sections.
- Proficient ICT skills.
- Interest in supporting students´ wellbeing in P4 and P5 in collaboration with class teachers via support lessons.
- Proactive attitude to school development.

About the school
European School Copenhagen (ESCPH) is a public, international school under the Municipality of Copenhagen and the only of its kind in Denmark. ESCPH opened in August 2014 with four Primary classes in an English and a Danish language section. Today the school has 16 classes from grade 0-5 in Primary and grade 1-3 in Secondary. In the coming school year, we will open further classes in Secondary and add one class to our new French section in Primary. When the school is fully phased in, the school will have nearly 1,000 pupils. ESCPH is an accredited school within the established European School system and as such offers a European education combining the rigorous educational requirements for European Schools with Danish pedagogy and working guidelines. In October 2018, the school moved into a brand-new state-of-the-art school building in the Carlsberg City District of Copenhagen, a few stops from Copenhagen central station.
The mission of the European Schools is to provide a multilingual and multicultural education for nursery, primary and secondary pupils.

- Le niveau d'anglais doit permettre d'évoluer rapidement dans un environnement complètement anglophone: documentation, communication écrite et orale avec le management, les collègues et certaines familles.
- Le candidat doit être un Professeur des écoles certifié par l'éducation nationale (ou un organisme équivalent), dans le cas contraire il doit pouvoir justifier de plusieurs années d'enseignement dans le primaire.
- Le statut de l’école ne permet pas de faire une demande de détachement auprès des académies, il faut anticiper sur une demande de mise en disponibilité. Cependant le poste à pourvoir permet d'obtenir le statut de fonctionnaire de la commune.
- A ce titre, les salaires sont fixés par les régulations locales. Les détails sur l'empan salarial à l'embauche peuvent être clarifiés par les représentants syndicaux.
- Le candidat doit avoir une bonne compréhension du fonctionnement des écoles européennes en général.
