English teacher for primary school at the European School in Copenhagen (temporary position)

We are looking for an English class teacher for our primary school.
We are looking for a teacher
- who can cover a fulltime leave, starting from 15th of April or as soon as possible after, for a period of 12-15 months
- who has teaching qualification
- who is a fluent English speaker or has mother tongue proficiency
- who has proven experience in teaching the relevant age group. We are looking for teachers for either nursery (5-6 years old) or P3 (8-9 years old)
- who will show outstanding commitment and ability to engage students and assist in developing their social, creative and academic skills
The ideal candidate will have
- experience in classroom management
- experience in teaching in relevant subjects on the year level and the ability to differentiate, supporting each child to fulfil their potential
- experience in supporting student wellbeing and creating an inclusive learning environment
- experience in international or intercultural education
- proactive attitude to school development
About the school
European School Copenhagen (ESCPH) is a public, international school under the Municipality of Copenhagen and the first of its kind in Denmark. The school has three language sections: English, French, and Danish, spanning from Nursery, Primary 1-5 and Secondary 1-7 with a total of around 1.000 students.
ESCPH is an accredited school within the established European School system and as such offers an European education combining the rigorous educational requirements for European Schools with Danish pedagogy and working guidelines.
In October 2018, the school moved into a brand new state-of-the-art school building in the Carlsberg City District of Copenhagen, a few stops from Copenhagen central station.
