Copenhagen to host Global Cycling Conference in 2010

In June 22-25 2010 Copenhagen will be the host city for the international conference Velo-City Global. The conference is the first of its kind focusing on bicycling all over the world and is arranged in collaboration with the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) and the city of Frederiksberg. It is expected to attract 1,000 participants, including decision makers, professionals, city planners, researchers and NGO’s from at least 100 different countries.

In Copenhagen the conference’s participants can see with their own eyes that with a continued and conscious focus you can achieve growth in the number of cyclists at the same time as economic growth. The fact that Copenhagen is hosting the COP15, focusing on international awareness on sustainable transport, also makes Copenhagen the obvious choice for Velo-City Global.
