The Social Services Committee

The Social Services Committee is responsible for the Council's social work with children, young people and adults, including preventive special measures and transfer payments such as disability pension and financial help in special situations.

The committee is also in charge of placement of children and young people in residential care, services for the disabled, mentally ill, alcoholics and drug addicts, social housing work and social housing agency services.

The corresponding administration is the Social Services Administration.
