Making a movie in Copenhagen

Car chase at Kongens Nytorv? Kissing in the rain at Vesterbrogade? People dancing in the street? Make sure to get permission from the Technical and Environmental Administration in the City of Copenhagen.

If yoy want to make a filmshooting outdoors in Copenhagen you have to get permission. This applies however only to larger productions where you shut on the street, use the parking area or place your equipment or other things in a way that will affect traffic.

Minor productions doesn’t require a permit. If you are unsure contact the Traffic Department (Byliv). You find our contactinformation in the right column.

If your production dictates that you have to stop the traffic, you must get permission from the police before we can say yes.

You are always welcome to contact the department to discuss your wishes and requirements before a filmshooting.
