A short briefing on CLIMATE +(KLIMA+)
CLIMATE+ is a network of companies which are interested in reducing their impact on climate change. We are anchored in the Copenhagen Green Business Network, a part of the Environment Department in the City of Copenhagen.

Through the network, members get inspiration for their climate work through coaching, network meetings and workshops.
The network is oriented towards concrete solutions and offers tools directed specifically at various business sectors – industry, shops, hotels, restaurants, offices etc.

Through collaboration with Københavns Energi, a major energy supplier in the city, we can also offer individual energy checks to businesses.


CLIMATE + also helps to promote the climate work of our members to employees, customers and partners.

Within the City of Copenhagen, there are some 40,000 large and small businesses, which are responsible for about 70% of the city's electricity consumption and 35% of its heating consumption. That is why a reduction of business-related emissions of greenhouse gases is very important to the city's main objective of a 20 % reduction of emissions by 2015 and carbon neutrality by 2025.

The focus of the effort is the voluntary and real interest of the businesses in reducing their effect on climate as well as realizing savings on energy consumption. We also emphasise the importance of good examples, whose work and results will be used to convince and recruit more businesses.

In the overall Climate Plan, the goal is to reach 6,000 members by 2015 who will initiate climate plans that will realize real reductions of some 20,000 tons of CO2 by 2015.
